I’m all too aware that I’ve been neglecting this place of late. There never seems to be enough time in the day to do everything, and often it’s the website that gets overlooked. And so it is, the last post here was back in February. Sorry about that, but there are some interesting things coming soon, so I will try harder to update this page more regularly.
In the meantime, I’m going to be doing a few events over the next month or so. If you fancy coming along to any of them to hear me wittering on about books, cows and other interesting stuff, here are the details:
Saturday October 28th – Macmillan Cancer Fundraiser. 2.30pm at the Provost Wind Function Suite, Cupar. Tickets £8 to include wine and nibbles. I’ll be reading from my latest book and talking about my path to publication. I’ll be signing books and there will be books available to buy. All proceeds go to Macmillan Cancer Support. Contact Jill Scott – j.scott154@btinternet.com or Maggie Robb – margaretrobb818@btinternet.com for more details, or just turn up on the day!
Friday 3rd-Sunday 5th November – Grantown on Spey Book Festival
Book Week Scotland is the last week of November, and I’m signed up for library talks across the country.
Monday 27th November – Paisley Central Library – 7pm
Wednesday 29th November – Reid Hall, Forfar – 7pm
Thursday 30th November – Auchterarder Branch Library – 7pm
January next year sees the publication of book eight in the Inspector McLean series, The Gathering Dark. There will be events around publication day, including a launch at Waterstones West End, Edinburgh and talks at Elgin, Newton Mearns and Dunfermline. More details once we’ve nailed them down.
