Events, dear boy

So, somewhere down the line I had a book launch, and Natural Causes was released into the wild as a paperback. Not only that, those lovely people Richard Madely and Judy Finnegan decided that it would be quite nice to have the book as one of their book club Summer Reads.

Make with the clicky to go to the website and find out more about it.

The Book of Souls is due out in print on July 4th, and I’m having a launch event for that in Waterstones West End in Edinburgh. This is a ticketed event, so if you feel the urge to come along, get in touch with the store first to avoid the disappointment of only being able to see me through nose-smeared window glass.

Between now and then I’m doing a few signings. If I can crack the technology, I’ll get an events page up and running with proper links and stuff. Meantime confirmed events as follows:

25th May – 12:30 – Waterstones Kirckaldy – signing

2nd June – 11:00am – CrimeFest Bristol – I’m on a panel discussing how far we would go for our art. I’m there for the duration.

8th June – 12-2 – Waterstones St Andrews – signing

12 June – 7pm – Waterstones Argyll Street, Glasgow – me talking bollocks for a while, possibly reading something, fielding questions as evasively as I can manage, scribbling in books.

6th July – 12-2 – Waterstones Perth – signing

6th July – 7pm Perth Library – in conversation with Allan Guthrie – This one still to be confirmed.

11th July – 6pm – Waterstones West End Edinburgh – cross-examined by Russel D McLean, some more avoiding the question and some book-defacing.

I’ll also be at the Theakstons Old Peculiar Crime Writing Festival in Harrogate from 18th to 21st July, just as a punter, but if you want something signed and are there, I won’t bite. Well, not unless you ask me to.

Sometime in the next couple of months I’m going to be going around a lot of WH Smiths in Scotland signing stock, too. If I have dates and times I’ll post them here.

James-Got hold of Book of Souls and have loved it! You stand up well next to Rankin. Well done on moving into the world of bricks and mortar publishing, and Penguin! Brilliant! Looking forward to The Hangman’s Song…you have a fan in Florida who wishes she could make it to one of your signings. Maybe next year….Bless!

Thanks Debs. I’m working on a US deal at the moment – it would be great to come over to your side of the pond and meet a few readers.

It’s a somewhat larger carbon footprint of a book signing trip over here! We’ll gladly come to you!
